Yes, I usually travel pretty light because that’s the way I like to do it, and it has the added benefit of meaning that I don’t have anything much to lose if I do bump into one of the bad guys. Thanks for reading.

That’s a good point Katie, there’s no telling what’s hiding in even the fanciest restaurant’s kitchen! I’ve never had a problem with street food either, and I feel that you can miss out on a country’s true flavour if you overlook what gets sold on the street corners.
