Picture this: Sand Dunes in Mui Ne, Vietnam

A scorching day in Vietnam. After a long 2 hour bike ride, you finally turn the corner to behold an expanse of orangey red sand stretching out into the horizon. Little local kids with sand boards try to scam a group of white tourists on a neighbouring sand dune. You plough your way upwards, grains of sand getting into the soles of your shoes, but you’re unable to take them off because the of the heat of the dunes. Instead, you stand and stare on the dune top.
